First, we excavated the existing area and added a new sub-base with a weed control membrane. Then we framed the driveway with Marshalls’ brindle block paved border and finally filled the driveway with charcoal block paving in a 45° pattern.

This newly completed driveway in Rugby features Marshalls ‘bracken’ block paved border with an SMA tarmac surface.

This driveway job took place in Rugby. We completely excavated the existing driveway, put in a new sub-base of MOT type 1 and compacted it to a solid finish. We installed an ACO channel drainage system and replaced existing manhole covers with recessed ones. We built a 9-inch double-skin curved wall acting as a retainer for a flowerbed. The driveway was framed with charcoal Marshall block paving bricks and laid with SMA grade tarmac, which we machine-rolled to a solid finish.

Summit Driveways installed this driveway with an apron in Rugby. It features an SMA-grade tarmac top surface with a matching apron and a charcoal block paved border with K-L kerbing around the flowerbeds.
